Case Helmi

Helmi

Hi! Welcome to my home! I'm Helmi Anttila, 93 years old finnish woman. I live alone with my little dog in a large detached house. My husband died years ago. Unfortunately, we never had children. There were a lot of children in my childhood home. Me and my nine siblings. The rest of them, except my youngest little sister, Tyyne, have already died. I often feel very lonely these days. I have been actively involved in my home church's activities. That's where I have friends, but most of them are already very fragiles and in poor condition.

I like arts, especially visual arts. My dream would still be to see the numerous art exhibitions in my hometown. I also enjoyed music and dancing. When I was young, I enjoyed very much the barn dances. At an older age, photography became a hobby that I loved. Lately, I've been mostly photographing my lovely dog. I have Marevan (Warfarin) medication, which is why I need to have a regular blood test called INR. I fell down a few years ago at my home and suffered a broken bone. As a result of a long bed rest, I had thrombosis, which was fortunately noticed intime before greater damage could occur. Despite I'm already quite fragile, I can still move independently, but I'm scared if I fall again and afraid to go out alone anymore.
