Case Anna

Anna

Anna is an 80-year-old home care client. She has Parkinson's disease and type 2 Diabetes. He lives alone in a three-story apartment. Anna's children live far away and they don´t visit very often. Anna has been a widow for several years and sometimes she feels lonely. Neighbors have noticed that Anna's memory has been reduced. She has forgotten the keys to the home and sometimes the stove has been left on and the food has burned. Anna will no longer survive without help at home

In addition, Anna says that the movement is rigid and slow, especially in the mornings. Anna often forgets to take her medicine. Anna loves cooking and baking, but now she is starting to forget how to make her favorite fish soup. She often eats only oatmeal for lunch and blood sugar is often too low. Anna's independent eating is also complicated by shaking hands. Anna suffers dizziness and washing is difficult, because she can't stand the shower.

The daughter's daughter had a small baby girl, but Anna cannot travel to her naming. Anna is very sorry about that. Anna loves her family and she hopes the family would be able to visit at Christmas. Anna had a pet cat, but it died. Anna loves playing cards, but now the shaking of her hands prevents her from playing cards. She has previously borrowed books from the library, but last time she got lost in the city. Now she is afraid to go out anymore.
