CILS ACADEMIC AFFAIR: The STEAM and ICT Club Summer Camp 2024
SCHOOL SHELTERING PROTOCOL AND EXPECTATIONS
March 1-2, 2024
Rationale: The CILS Academic Affair and Summer Camp 2024 is a STEAM- and ICT-led activity to provide unique opportunities and academic milestones to every Conpereynian, in the best interest to further encourage their love for learning in a self-directed pace. This manual outlines the safety protocols and expectations of CILS from all participants and their guardians. Everyone included in the scope of this manual is hereby obliged to review the listed policies to mitigate the repercussions of fortuitous circumstances that may arise during the event.
Students who intend to participate in the CILS Academic Affair: The STEAM and ICT Club Summer Camp 2024 must meet the following eligibility requirements and expectations:
A. Parental Permission
1. The School Sheltering Protocol and Expectations manual will be distributed to the participants through online dissemination.
2. The participant and/or guardian should affirm to their respective class adviser the package that they will be availing for the Summer Camp during the registration period. Those who will opt to stay in school for an overnight housing should take full responsibility to provide their own bedding.
B. Academic Eligibility
1. The participant must be currently enrolled in CILS for the second semester of SY 2023-2024.
C. General Rules
1. The School Sheltering Protocol and Expectations and other Summer Camp 2024 foregoing policies shall always apply for the entire duration of the event. The Summer Camp 2024 committee members reserve the right to decide for additional provisions not included or previously stated on these documents if the need arises.
2. Participants are expected to display utmost respect towards persons in authority and established rules, and are likewise expected to exhibit appropriate behavior, wear decent clothes, and practice sensitivity towards peers.
3. The “No ID, No Entry” policy shall be strictly observed.
4. Outsiders are not allowed to enter the venue unless a valid entry slip will be presented to the security guard, officers assigned in security, or teachers.
5. There shall be no drinking of alcoholic beverages, use of tobacco products, vape, or possession/usage of illegal drugs inside the campus all throughout the event. Any participant who is required to take prescription medication must inform their respective adviser or the school’s clinic-in-charge.
6. Possession of deadly weapons and sharp objects not intended for any Summer Camp-related activities is strictly prohibited. If any is found, it will be confiscated.
7. All participants are required to report to the venue before 7:00 AM. Tardiness will not be tolerated. Attendance will also be checked.
8. Students who are joining contest/s must be on their designated area before the contest starts. Defiance to contest guidelines and rulings of judges and facilitators will not be tolerated.
9. Those who will avail out-campus food delivery must assume full responsibility by picking it up and paying it on time.
10. In case of illness at any point of the event, the parent/guardian must be directly notified to decide for the welfare of their child if it can no longer be handled by the adviser or school.
11. Everyone is expected to take good care of school facilities, conserve water and electricity, and are required to perform ClaYGo (Clean as You Go).
D. Housing Rules
1. Students are encouraged to freshen up and take their dinner at home from 5:00 – 6:00 PM, Friday, and and breakfast at home from 5:00 – 6:30 AM, Saturday. Taking a bath within the school premises is strictly not allowed (except for students from Buruanga and Boracay Island).
2. No one is allowed entry within the campus after 9:00 PM.
3. Students are not allowed to go out in their designated sleeping area (except when using the bathroom) after the curfew hours.
4. Every room will be carefully inspected to monitor the cleanliness/orderliness, and if housing rules are properly followed.
5. Students may bring ‘midnight snacks’ if they want to.
6. No disturbing noise inside the classroom or along the hallway must be made, especially after lights out.
7. Everyone is expected to be responsible, orderly, and empathetic. CILS will not be liable if a student carelessly misplaces or loses his/her belongings.
8. Once proven, stealing will be severely punished.
9. Plunging necklines, short shorts, crop tops, and other skin-revealing clothes are not allowed inside the campus. Boys will not be allowed to take off their shirt in the presence of girls during housing.
10. 1st and 2nd floors of CILS Main Building will be allocated for the boys, and 3rd and 4th floors will be for the girls.
E. Sanctions
Any student who fails to comply with the preceding protocols, expectations, and policies may be subject to one or more of the following sanctions at the discretion of the adviser, event organizer, or the administration:
1. Sent home. The student will be denied the opportunity to continue the event and avail its services. Parents will be notified and will be responsible for making future arrangements.
2. Suspension. The erring student may be suspended depending on the gravity of offense.
3. Community service. The erring student may be obliged to render community service commensurate to the gravity of offense.

RATIONALE:
The “CILS ACADEMIC FAIR: THE STEAM AND ICT CLUB SUMMER CAMP 2023” with the theme “Delving into the Realms of STEAM and ICT in Embarking an Immersive Experiences Filled with Innovation, Creativity, and Digital Wonders”, learners are expected to show and embody love and service as an avenue to develop and strengthen their skills in Mathematics, Science, Arts, Information and Technology in facing the demands of this ever-changing world.
OBJECTIVES:
With the passion to provide alternative and non-traditional learning experiences to every Conpereynian learner, the CILS ACADEMIC FAIR 2024 aims to:
● Promote the proper use of technology in education;
● Inspire young Conpereynian scientists and mathematicians;
● Create harmonious learning environment among school’s stakeholders;
● Help students to cope with the stressful environment;
● Exhibit the talents and skills of every Conpereynian;
● Develop interpersonal skills; and
● Build Conpereynians’ interest on Mathematics, Science, Arts, Information and Technology.
OUTCOMES/DELIVERABLES:
After the activity, the students are expected to;
● Perform and apply various activities in their lessons.
● Enhance their social interactions in school and in community as a whole.
● Strengthen and develop mathematical, scientific, artistic, research and information-technology based skills.
