SUMMER CAMP 2024
Theme: “Delving into the Realms of STEAM and ICT in Embarking an Immersive Experiences Filled with Innovation, Creativity, and Digital Wonders”
Interpretative Dance Competition
Objective:
This contest aims to emphasize the expression of emotions, ideas, or specific narratives about the current issue on global warming and climate change as a worldwide problem through dance. This will make the students recognize the value of taking care of our Mother Earth.
Target Participants:
Grade 7-12 students
Interpretative Dance Competition Mechanics:
The competition is open for all junior and senior high school students.
Only one entry for each grade level is allowed. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 members for each group.
All participating pairs or groups are expected to create an original interpretative dance routine that conveys feelings, ideas or a narrative about global warming and climate change.
The performance shall not exceed five (5) minutes but not less than three (3) minutes.
No dangerous props/stunts allowed.
The contestants are free to delete, cut, insert, and jumble songs/music.
The music to be used for the presentation must be given to the persons in-charge on Feb. 26, 2024.
The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
Criteria For Judging
Concept and Interpretation - 40%
Mastery of Choreography - 30%
Audience Impact - 20%
Costumes and props - 10%
TOTAL - 100%
