San Miguel village is about 55 minute drive from Punta Gorda
There is a newly constructed school building at San Miguel RC. Originally built in 1952 with asbestos roofing, the school building was fully renovated into a new classroom building with a safe environment conducive to students learning. The renovation completion dated September 24, 2017. Funding was lobbied by the San Miguel PTA - Parent and Teacher Association - to various stakeholders in society who responded positively. In the meantime, it is without partition and it will make it difficult for students and teachers to manage and for effective learning to take place. The partition will be movable so that teachers, parents and students can use the entire building in times of entertainments and other school related fundraising activities. Considering the urgent need for the partition, the PTA is adamant to collaborate with key education stakeholders and or any other organization to construct this much needed classroom dividers for meaningful learning to take place
