Letter from the President:
Hello Friends!
Thank you to our Budget and Audit Committee! I'll attach the proposed budget to be voted on at the next meeting.
We are so grateful for Mrs. Kathy Veazey! She has served our group for many years as the secretary! She has done an amazing job and has been a huge asset to our group!! She would like to retire from the secretary position after December. The Nominating Committee is looking for anyone that might be interested in this position. Please contact Mrs. Kathy Mauldin, Mrs. Janey Marshall, or Mrs. Jane Semler if you're interested. The payment for this position isn't monetary; however, you are guaranteed laughter and a great time! This position does not take up much of your time at all. I'm sure Mrs. Kathy Veazey will answer any questions you may have.
The library is looking for volunteers from our friends for a few different events:
Harry Potter Night - October 17
Halloween - October 25
Please reach out to Mrs. Riwa or Mrs. Barbara at the library for more details.
As we come closer to the end of another year, we're reminded just how thankful this group is to everyone in the community that continues to support us year after year! We look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting on November 10, 25 at 5:00pm. We will be voting on the proposed budgets.

DUES NOTICE - It's that time of year again when we begin collecting dues for next year. Your 2026 dues ($10) can be paid at our next general meeting on November 10 -- or dropped off at the library -- or mailed to the library at 102 Natcor Dr, Dover 37058. If paying by check, please make it payable to Stewart County Friends of the Public Library and note 2026 Dues on the memo line. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at our meetings and activities.

Your help is needed in locating all Stewart County children from birth to age 5 to introduce them to the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, STILL LOOKING FOR ELIGIBLE CHILDREN!! 20% of the children in this age group are still not signed up!
Once a child is signed up, each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in the child's name directly to their home. The registered children can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. There are currently 536 Stewart County children registered and receiving books but there are many more yet to locate and register. 2,356 have graduated from the program in Stewart County. Parents may also register their children online at http://www.governorsfoundation.org. If the child moves, it is vital that parents have the child's address changed in order to continue receiving the books.
Would you like to help this wonderful program? As little as $12 will pay for books for one child, for an entire year! Donations can be made out to Stewart County Friends of the Public Library, noting “Imagination Library” in the memo line, and mailed or delivered to the Stewart County Public Library, 102 Natcor Drive, Dover TN 37058. Stewart County Friends of the Public Library is a 501(c))(3) charitable organization and a partner agency of the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region. Donations are tax- deductible.

We, as a group, make a positive change in the lives of Stewart County children every time we sign-up another child for Imagination Library, pass on information regarding I.L. to someone else, or otherwise contribute to this positive program.
