Letter from the President:
Hello Friends!
It’s hard to believe that it is already the end of November! I’m terribly sorry for the November newsletter coming out so late. This whole year has flown by so fast.
Did you know that Governor Bill signed a proclamation declaring October 20-26, 2024 Library Volunteer Appreciation Week? I’m a tad bit late on this. However, we would not be able to support our library the way we do without YOU! Thank you all for your continued support!
Thank you to those that came out for the Halloween event and signed kids up for Imagination Library!
As per our November meeting, I am including a copy of the proposed Expense Voucher/Receipt. Please look this over. We will be voting on it in January.
Congratulations to our 2025 Officers! Thank you to our nominating committee for overseeing the task at hand.
President: Ashley Hayes
Vice President: Mary Ann Jordan
Vice President: Mary Lou Easter (Data Manager)
Secretary: Kathy Veazey
Treasurer: Joanna Bailey
Treasurer - Dolly Parton's Imagination Library: Mary Lou Easter
The Book Bus will be in Dover’s Christmas Parade on December 7th. If you are interested in volunteering to help please contact Mrs. Gracie Armstrong at the library as soon as possible.
Lastly, our next meeting will be January 13, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Invite someone new. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

GOVERNORS EARLY LITERACY FOUNDATION - http://www.governorsfoundation.org
Your help is needed in locating all Stewart County children from birth to age 5 to introduce them to the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, STILL LOOKING FOR ELIGIBLE CHILDREN!! 20% of the children in this age group are still not signed up!
Once a child is signed up, each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in the child's name directly to their home. The registered children can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. There are currently 529 Stewart County children registered and receiving books but there are many more yet to locate and register. 2,262 have graduated from the program in Stewart County. Parents may also register their children online at http://www.governorsfoundation.org. If the child moves, it is vital that parents have the child's address changed in order to continue receiving the books.
Would you like to help this wonderful program? As little as $12 will pay for books for one child, for an entire year! Donations can be made out to Stewart County Friends of the Public Library, noting “Imagination Library” in the memo line, and mailed or delivered to the Stewart County Public Library, 102 Natcor Drive, Dover TN 37058. Stewart County Friends of the Public Library is a 501(c))(3) charitable organization and a partner agency of the United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region. Donations are tax- deductible.
Stewart County Friends of the Public Library
is a partner agency of the UWGN.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, it is the only thing that ever has."
-Margaret Mead
We, as a group, make a positive change in the lives of Stewart County children every time we sign-up another child for Imagination Library, pass on information regarding I.L. to someone else, or otherwise contribute to this positive program.
