A Different Kind of Monster by roadtonowhere (lastoryx), xfancyfranzi (PDF) Summery: Something in Bodie, California is luring truckers to their deaths and Dean’s on his way to take it out. It’s the first time Bobby’s given him a case and, with Sam at Stanford and his dad off chasing demons, he's finally hunting monsters on his own. When an accidental encounter puts an as-of-yet-unknown monster in the passenger seat of his car, Dean decides to ice him, taking his dad's old adage to heart: a monster is always a monster. Unfortunately, Dean can’t seem to figure out what kind of monster "Castiel" is and he certainly can’t shake him. My Comment: Ok so funny thing, i was reading a timetravel!cas not very long ago and in it Cas was telling Dean that he couldn't reveal any future events because that might "mess up thss time line(tm)" and every other timetravel story has that same trope and I'm here say "Why not?" I mean especially in the SPN universe I'd think Cas would love nothing more than to mess up the time line. And here we are, not only is Cas messing up the time line on purpose but he's also attempting to create their love story. I'm loving this concept you not only allowed Cas the freedom to tell the future but you also gave him his love story. This was fantastic! Their response: Yeah like...if the timeline ends... the way it does in canon...why not muck it up? I think it helps that, in my universe, you create new timelines independent of the other ones. psalm 40:2 by unicornpoe (PDF) Summary: Dean meets an angel who says he's from the future. It all gets a lot more complicated from there. My Comment: I don't know why writers for timetravel insist that Cas isn't allowed to reveal the future to Dean, it seems like a good idea to Me. Still this was really good. Only an Angel by expectingtofly (PDF) Summary: In 2009, months after rescuing the Righteous Man from Hell, Castiel rebels against Heaven’s plan and chooses to help Dean Winchester. He is immediately killed by the archangel Raphael for his transgressions. But then God brings him back to life—with a catch. Castiel can return to Heaven and ask for forgiveness, or continue to help the Winchesters, alienating himself from the only home he’s ever known. To help him make his decision, God sends Castiel back in time three years ago. Now in 2006, Castiel is faced with gaining the trust of a younger, skeptical, pre-hell Dean. Without the threat of an apocalypse or avenging archangels, Castiel accompanies the Winchesters on a case and wonders if he truly has a place with them, or if he’s only an angel too blinded by his devotion to a human. My Comment Chapter 4: This was an amazing sex scene. I've read hundreds of destiel sex scenes and I think this was one of the best! I loved the mixing of Cas's grace with the sexual ecstasy which just enhanced the feeling. It was incredibly believable. Also, I 100% agree that one of Dean's favorite words would be "fuck"; that was one thing it the show that was ridiculous that the character of Dean would not swear hardly at all. So thank you for giving him his voice. My Comment chapter 6: ok so there is a meme that the ending of this story reminded me of and I wanted to share it with you. I found it and put it on my Tumblr Page. I just love Time travel Cas stories. I've been finding more and more of them and now I'm collecting them. Yours have been added to my list of amazing stories. a turn of the earth by microcomets (PDF) Rated Mature. Summary: Dean’s your typical half-orphaned, monster-killing 22-year-old until a trenchcoated stranger crashes into his back windshield one September night, claiming he’s an angel that knows him from the future and that he’s on the run. Frigging fantastic. (Or, in which Castiel gets stuck in Dean’s timeline preseries and Dean kind of hates it—until he doesn’t.) My Comment: Thank you for the happy ending. This fic is epic. Second Comment: I didn't remember anything about how this story ended so it was practically like getting to read it fresh all over again. It was fantastic the second time around. Days of Future Passed by Tierra469 (PDF) Summary: The story in which the Winchesters’ final showdown with God ends differently. “If you think you could have written it better… then do it all over again without me,” Chuck says, and tosses the boys back through time to their twenty-something bodies and their first case together. Knowing now what they didn’t know then, Sam and Dean resolve to work smarter and not harder and nip the apocalypse in the bud. They start by saving Jessica, then John—but Azazel and Meg are on their tails, God is not on their side, and things just aren’t quite the same the second time around. Meanwhile, Dean is still grieving the loss of Cas to The Empty—but now he’s got a second chance. Can he befriend the Angel Castiel all over again—without dying and being raised from perdition? Can he give Cas what he truly wanted before—and will the angel still want it? If Dean offers his heart, will Castiel take it, or break it? And how can they find the key to the bunker again, dammit? My Comment: This is really amazing! I'm super impressed with your story telling. I loved that Dean was basically - in your face - with PDA with Cas; and shutting John down with any possible disapproval he might have pointed at Dean. (read 11/2021)

A week ago, Dean was pulled out of Hell. Now, he’s apparently woken up in 2018, and the angel that a mere twenty-four hours beforehand had threatened to chuck him back into the pit is sleepily pouring himself coffee and wearing Dean’s second-favourite Zeppelin shirt. It all seems like a perfect happy ending, but with Hell’s scars still so fresh, Dean can’t imagine how he could have possibly gotten there.
