It hardly helps that he's finally figuring out his sexuality in his thirties. What might help with that stress is a little phone number (and a big credit card bill). Cas just randomly hits Dean and Dean is into it. Cas lives in an apartment and Dean ends up staying there most of the time. ~ “I’m going to kiss you now.” Cas pauses, giving Dean a chance to back out, but Dean just licks his lips and waits.

He manages to convince Charlie not to turn around and that he would be happy just watching, that is until he meets the host of the party, Castiel. Dean is mesmerized by the man, but Castiel's interests go beyond a simple sex party. My Comment: What an amazing one shot! This is actually my second read through. I love the suspense of Dean and Cas meeting. I love the way Dean was claimed. I love a possessive dominating Castiel? This is on my recommend fic list. (2nd Read 8/2021)

Subterranean by InvictaAnimi (PDF) This could also go under "sweet" there is not a whole lot of angst which is just fine with me. Summary: Dean knows better than to stay late at work, his commute home is dangerous any time, but especially after dark.

My Comment: This is an amazing story, of course I would love a time stamp(s). I would love to find out what the art world thinks of Cas' vision of Dean as a god. I would love to read about Cordelia rolling her eye's at her ridiculously grossly in love dads. I would love to read about Mary and her granddaughter. John and his son (and his husband) racing a sail boat. I would love to read about Claire helping with Cordelia and the youth center. About Cas teaching an art class. And Cas having an art exhibition, and about snooty Bostonites gushing over Cas' art and bidding up the prices. And maybe in an exhibition he has Dean painted as a god and every once and awhile during the reception Dean would go over to the large landscape painting and pose for guests to take his picture with the painting. I can really see it being a huge hit and selling point. Eventually, they'd have a professional photographer and would sell numbered prints. Cas would end up richer than Dean's family and then John would help him navigate the financial world...

Yes this story was so so lovely. I especially loved how Dean embraced his gayness and was already out to his accepting parents. That John was not a dick and Mary was so happy to mother Cas and Cas was able to allow the love of a mother was incredibly refreshing. I loved that none of the misunderstandings were contrived. They were all completely believable and handled right away. They didn't drag out and ruin the story. That Cas unfortunately getting into trouble was an absolutely necessary and believable plot point. And him discovering his art talent was worth money first with Meg and then at the museum. I loved how organically everything evolved with Cas and with them together. I loved that Dean wanted to help disadvantaged kids because of what happened to his brother even though he didn't have to have any type of career given his wealth and while his brother was not disadvantage it was still the right place for Dean to put his energy. I mean sometimes it's just brain chemistry that caused people to step off the planet.

When I first started reading I thought this story should have more fear surrounding Micheal with more actual sexual abuse towards Dean but as I got further in I found that I appreciated that darkness was ultimately not a part of our boys lives. That Dean had been spared that rape was actually much better. I realized you were right to not go there.

Anyway I cannot say enough about how wonderfully this was written and how amazing this story is. It has made it's way to my top favorite stories list. I have a website of recommended fics and this instantly went up.

Finally, I hope all is well with you. I see you have stopped responding to comments so I hope you're ok and still willing to write destiel. I know this fandom can be overwhelming and sometimes people can be dickish and demanding. If that happened please allow me to apologize for them. I just want you to know you are appreciated and amazing. And this fic is absolutely good enough to be published. I'm downloading it just in case you decide to do that. Thank you for sharing it.
