In the Deep Midwinter by narrativeimperative (PDF) ~ Cas is an angel but he's not Dean's angel. I found this fascinating. It's refreshing to read stories that were written early on and not polluted by the rehashed tropes and story lines that permeate the fandom fiction now. This is a good story and unique. Hunter AU. If there's one thing a good hunter knows, it's to stay away from angels.

A Beginner's Guide to Communing with the Dead by suspiciousflashlight (PDF) ~ This is barely an "M". In fact I think the only reason that there is smut at all is because the writer knew she'd get more readers if there was sex. This story does not need any sex to be good though. It's amazingly well written. In fact it should be serialized. My summary: Detective Dean needs to talk to the ghost who is haunting him and in order to solve Jo Harville's murder he summons a creature who can make that happen even though it's epically illegal to use necromancy magic. Oh and the Wall is collapsing which will lead to Armageddon.

Don't Walk On By by brimstonegold, virtualpersonal (PDF) Synopsis: Dean works several jobs in order to pay for medical care for Sam who has been severely injured. The day he meets Castiel, Dean's luck changes, though it is debatable whether it is for the better or for the worse. Castiel is an angel who has been cut-off from heaven to live with Man for a hundred years. Trying to right a wrong, he accidentally hires Dean as his rent-a-boy and learns a thing or two about being human. Prompt: Pretty Woman (the movie) My Comment: I'm surprised I never saw this story before now. Your writing is really good. I honestly really loved this and had no idea how you were going to wrap this up with one chapter left. It seemed a tiny bit rushed but I have very little room to talk as the one story I've written has a very rushed ending. Now I need to check out your other stories. I love running across good writing. 💞 (read 3/2020)
