With Understanding by apokteino (PDF) ~ This story is now associated with an orphaned account. Apparently, it was re-uploaded by somebody else? Which, I'm hard pressed to condemn. This is an incredible story. Synopsis: Winchester takes a deep breath. "I'm your soulmate." Castiel should be saying something reassuring, something to convince the psychopath in front of him that he can be molded and should be kept alive. He is a trained FBI agent that has been in the Behavioral Analysis Unit for nearly a year. He knows what to do when kidnapped. Instead, "What the fuck is wrong with you?" comes out. (Supposed serial killer Dean Winchester kidnaps his soulmate, FBI Agent Castiel Novak. What ensues is a battle of wills – one determined to be loved, and one determined to be free.) My comment: Just wanted to let you know I'm reading this for the 3rd time. The first time was Sep of 2017. This is one of the very few fics I'll read over and over. You did such an amazing job on this and it's exquisitely unique. I just want you to know that you are a master storyteller. I wish I could give every chapter a kudos. (Read 10/2019)

There Will I Be Buried PDF by cheesewithmy ~ This has been taken off of A03 it is a Teen And Up Audiences rating and it is such a great concept. Apparently it is a crossover from Sentinel which I've never seen. It is well written. Dean is a true Empath he is able to influence others with his will. He has been kidnapped and a collector has sent solder Castiel kidnap him away from the original kidnapper.

So Much Tangled Thread by imogenbynight (PDF) ~ In 2008, Dean takes over his late grandfather’s tailor shop in Normal, Illinois, and discovers an old leather flight jacket in the attic. A hand-painted set of wings on the back, the name Novak, and a three-quarters sewn circle of red cotton are the only clues he has to the jacket’s origins, and he enlists his historian brother to help him find the owner.

With only Dean's notes and journal to guide him, Castiel follows Dean's trail across the globe, discovering long lost treasures and clues leading to the mythical Godland. As Castiel learns more about his target, he starts to develop feelings for a man he's never even met. Now all he has to do is find him.

Part 1 - The Shattered One by MissAnnThropic (PDF) - (rated PG) this is an mpreg story but it's not the usual way. It's an exceptionally well written canon divergent story that leads to an even better story which is eventually Explicit. Time stamp to TSO.

Part 2 - The Unbroken Ones PDF by MissAnnThropic (not hosted on A03) - Explicit. TUO explores quite intimately, exactly what it means for Castiel and Dean to be together and raise their son, what they must sacrifice in themselves. Time stamp to TUO.

Ad Interim by emwebb17 (PDF) ~ Castiel is invited to study at the prestigious International Academy of Art and is one of the very select few who is told about the real power of Art: people and events can be influenced by the stroke of a paintbrush. As Castiel learns more about this power, he realizes he can do a lot more than what he's being taught in the classroom. Maybe even interact with the beautiful, expressive subject of his favorite four hundred year old painting.

You Can Keep Holding On by NorthernSparrow (PDF) (HTML) ~ So this is not well tagged. The author does not believe in tagging fics and I get where shes coming from. This is a Sick!Cas causes Dean to get his head out of his ass fic. Cas gets cancer and it's really serious. Hiatus fic set after the S11 finale. Dean's alive, Sam's alive, they're going to get Cas from wherever he got zapped to, and everything's finally gonna be all right. Dean's on top of the world. A little voice in the back of his head is whispering "It's never that easy," but Dean ignores it.

The Mirror by cloudyjenn (PDF) ~ Mature, Spectacular, When Dean touches a strange mirror, he's whisked away to one alternate reality after another and it doesn't take him long to realize the universe is trying to tell him something.

And I Saw Sparks by jhoom (PDF) ~ It only affects maybe twenty percent of the population, but when you first kiss your soulmate, sparks fly. Not literally, but the feeling is real enough for those who experience it. There are two catches: it only works after you turn sixteen and it has to be a kiss on the lips.
