Dean used to turn tricks; over a decade later, he met Cas. (canon compliant) my comment: When I first started reading SPN fan fic I only wanted to read the canon stories like this one. Then I started reading AU because I was getting tired of Dean's self flagellation that comes standard with canon stories. Every once and a while I'll drift back but I've found that Dean's self hatred is sometimes written over the top. And I just can't take it any more. This here, however, was perfect. This all felt so real and absolutely true. Every bit of this felt completely in character, even better than the show runners can do. It's times like this that I wish people like you who can really nail these characters where the ones writing the show. (read Sep 2018)

Now, he’s apparently woken up in 2018, and the angel that a mere twenty-four hours beforehand had threatened to chuck him back into the pit is sleepily pouring himself coffee and wearing Dean’s second-favourite Zeppelin shirt. It all seems like a perfect happy ending, but with Hell’s scars still so fresh, Dean can’t imagine how he could have possibly gotten there. ~ OK this was amazing! I don't say that lightly. I've read hundreds of destiel fics in the last year and a half and this one goes right at the top for in character representation. I am floored by their skill. Their pacing and plot points were spot on. I had no idea how they were going to get an E rating out of this at the end without it seeming contrived but they knocked my socks off! I cannot say enough to convey how impressed I am.

It is a damn good story, very well written and excruciatingly heartbreaking. An AU in which a recovered alcoholic Dean owns a diner, Sam is in law school and is clueless about the way Jess looks at him, and Cas? Well, Cas turns Dean’s world upside down and maybe, just maybe, gives him a reason to have a little faith. The love of a lifetime told in a heartbeat.

Synopsis: Castiel Novak might have to attend three weddings in two months, but he’s not about to let his brother play matchmaker. His family’s Internet streaming company is too important to let a relationship steal his time, but he knows exactly what to do–hire someone to pretend to be his boyfriend. My Comment: Wow this was incredible. I see now why it has 4667 kudos. You deserve more than that. (read 10/2019)

In post-apocalyptic isolation, Castiel nurses Dean back to something like his former self, but will a time come when Dean has recovered --and rediscovered-- too much? My Comment: This is an incredible story, I'm surprised I haven't found it before now. It's so well written and everybody was really IN Character. I'm so impressed. (read 11/2021)
