Castiel is an ice dancer who can't seem to keep a partner. They're each other's last chance but can they also be each other's best chance?

The Escape Artist by vipjuly (PDF) ~ Very well written. No angst.  As a way to keep their brains sharp, Sam suggests that he and Dean start doing escape rooms weekly. The owner of the local business is nothing they were expecting, and everything they look forward to. Dean is entranced by the way Castiel shapes and molds himself into each new theatrical role, and it doesn't take long for his mind to start to wander, wondering about how well Castiel knows his way around a pair of handcuffs in the bedroom.

Six weeks later, he’s still married to one of the strangest, most genuine and definitely most dangerously lov-- likable guys he's ever known. Dean doesn't know why or really even how it’s happening, but it’s getting harder and harder to remember that he has divorce papers to file.

The House That Wanted to Be a Garden by almaasi (PDF) ~ AU where Dean accidentally moves in with his neighbour, Cas, who is surprisingly okay with it. Or: Every time Dean fixes anything in this cursed house, a random plant pops up and breaks it again. The woo-woo weirdo named Cas on the other side of the river keeps insisting that Dean must've offended the forest fairies. He offers his own home's amenities for as long as Dean needs them. But with each passing night, and every bent pipe, fritzing electrical system, or shattered window, Dean finds himself returning to his own place only to sleep. And then... one night... he doesn't even do that.

Dean (and Cas') Top 13 Zepp Traxx by pantheon_of_discord (PDF) ~ Dean and Cas and the open road, to the tune of Led Zeppelin.  A post-series story in thirteen parts.  Okay this was fucking amazing. Recently Misha said that some Supernatural writers also wrote slash fiction. I'd say that if I had to bet money they were one of those Supernatural writers. If they don't write for that show they sure as shit should be. Their characterizations were accurate as fuck. Their transitions from scene to scene where so smooth. Their switching from point of views was amazing. I honestly don't know what they do for a living but they sure should be writing. 

Morning Glory by edgarallanrose (PDF) (HTML) ~ This really should only be rated as Mature but I get that some writers like to err on the side of caution. Dean can no longer hunt, Cas has gone from Warrior of God to beekeeper, and Sam has left home. Taking place two years after the Season 12 finale, Dean and Cas have to learn what it means to be themselves, and who they are meant to be to each other, without the threat of an impending apocalypse hanging over their heads. 

El Tango de Amor by literaryoblivion (PDF) ~ Mature - Every Tuesday and Thursday, Dean leaves, is gone for two to three hours, and comes home sweaty and exhausted to the apartment he and his brother Sam share. Sam had asked him where he went once, and Dean had said he was working out, which technically wasn’t a lie. What he was doing was definitely giving him a workout, just not in the traditional sense. In all actuality though, Dean was leaving every Tuesday and Thursday for a dance class. A dance class taught by a one Castiel Novak.  Two guys dancing El Tango de Roxanne re dubbed

All the Way by cadignan (PDF) ~ I need to have a Collage AU so I can put this in there. But in the mean time I will put this here even though I wouldn't really call it Sweet it is however incredibly well written. Castiel spends the first two weeks of college in much the same way he spent the previous years: alone with his books. He’s fine with it—he enrolled in college to learn, after all. Then in his first chemistry lab, he has the bad luck of being paired with snide, good-for-nothing Ruby, and the further misfortune of sitting behind Dean Winchester, the world’s most beautiful distraction. Ruby catches Castiel staring at Dean and makes him an offer. 

Through the Screen by ArchOfImagine (PDF) ~ Synopsis: "What would you do if you woke up in the Supernatural world?" A fan asked Misha.  Little did the actor know, but a few weeks later he would actually be finding out the real answer to that question. Because when Metatron tosses Castiel out of Heaven at the beginning of season 9 -- he tosses him right into Misha's universe. Now Misha is stuck in the Supernatural world, looking at his husband's face but a different man.  My Comment: Very good story. A couple of missing tags: Temp MCD, infidelity. Love this! Magical FaceTime with your doppelgangers. Perfect.  (read 3/2019)

And He's Oh So Good by jemariel (PDF) Summery: Dean Smith is a man of routine, and it's been working very well for him, thank you very much. Then Castiel walks into his life, and suddenly there's a splash of color that reveals just how gray everything had been before. Can Dean let himself step out of his comfortable shell and experience the good things in life that he's forgotten about? My Comment: (Spoilers) I think you nailed Dean Smith and endverse!cas. And then you filled out their characters beautifully. I was super bummed when I figured out Cas was going to torpedo this budding relationship with his past baggage and poor self talk. He seemed like such a together guy that it felt odd. Then we got some more backstory and it came together why he would put himself in that headspace. I was worried Dean and Charlie were going to find him with a needle in his arm. What a relief that didn't happen. I also was impressed with how ultimately emotionally mature Dean was given his inexperience with relationships. I'm glad it felt like they were heading for cohabitation. This was a sweet fluffy fic.
