On October 15, 2024, Shri Seth Muralidharji Mansinaka Arts, Science & Commerce College library celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, renowned as the "Missile Man" and the 11th President of India. To honor his legacy and promote a culture of learning, this day is observed as Reading Inspiration Day (Vaachan Prerna Diwas). Dr. Kalam was a strong advocate for education, science, and knowledge, emphasizing the transformative power of reading.This day encourages people, especially students, to embrace reading as a means of self-improvement and intellectual growth. Across the country, schools, colleges, and various institutions held reading marathons, book exhibitions, and discussions on the importance of books in shaping one's future, reflecting Dr. Kalam's belief in the pursuit of knowledge.
