This committee shall have general jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to peace and order; security and safety of persons and property; the police and fire stations including their officers and men; traffic laws, rules and regulations and their enforcement; the prevention and/or suppresion of lawlessness, riot, violence, rebellion or sedition and public order; anti-drug campaign; disaster/natural calamities and prevention and abatement of nuisances.
