This committee shall have general jurisdiction on matters pertaining to the efficient supply and economical use of energy, consistent with approved national energy program, including the preparation of an integrated and comprehensive exploration, development, utilization, distribution and conservation of energy resources, especially those which are environment-friendly, indigenous and low-cost sources of energy.
