In every camp, every song must be run in full. Each camper should have an assigned part on an instrument that we teach. No camper should be limited to just a shaker or floor tom part; they should have a role on guitar, bass, drums, keys, or vocals. If you notice this isn't happening or if your Camp Director hasn't assigned someone a part yet, inform your Camp/Music Director immediately and get it fixed.

This day requires significant organization & prep. It's important to gather all the necessary materials and lists for the stage; this includes lyrics, tech rider, and notes. At the afternoon debrief, the Music Director and Camp Directors will provide job titles and duties for the next day. Lead interns can delegate from there as needed for tomorrow's logistics during the performance (Friday).

Make sure you've decided on the song opener that the INTERN BAND will perform to kick off the performance on Friday. Consult with the Music Director as to your song choice and the band lineup. Take advantage of breaks or lunch and ask the Camp Director to allow you to rehearse during any downtime. You should easily be able to pull a song together in less than a day.

8:30 - 9:00 (Intern Morning Rally)

• Recap Wednesday and go over the day’s scheduled activities

9:00 - 10:30

• Sectionals & lessons by Instrument 

• Work with students to refine their parts. If anyone’s struggling, work with them individually

10:30 - 12:00

• Group Workshop (Camp Director) - Stage Presence

• Show videos of great stage presence (James Brown at the TAMI show, etc)  

• By Thursday, you should be refining details (solos, harmonies, etc)

• More rehearsals

12:00 - 1:00

• Lunch

• Make sure everyone knows when lunch is over

1:00 - 3:00

• Rehearsals 

• Continue rehearsing all the songs & move through set as quickly as you can

• Group Workshop (Camp Director) - Transitions & Logistics

• Continue adding detail to the songs and spend time on problem areas

3:00 - 3:45

• Wrap up & Release Campers

• Recap the day & discuss the plan for the show on Friday (see objectives)!

• Move gear back to where it was originally

• Clean the school (Lead interns delegate)
