Timelines are important at School of Rock camps. Not just for interns, but for everyone. They keep things organized, help with time management, and promote teamwork (both among interns as well as campers themselves).

Timelines create a schedule for each day, ensuring everyone knows what to do and when. They also make sure each activity gets enough time and focus, which ensures the quality of the performances each week stay strong.

Following these daily/weekly timelines will help you be responsible and contribute to the camp's success. Timelines can be adjusted if needed by Camp Directors or Music Directors, allowing for flexibility if something unexpected happens. Overall, they make the camp fun and well-organized for everyone involved.

Timeline #1: Full Week

Below is a timeline/schedule for every intern (and Camp Director) to follow for the entire week. These should be printed out and posted in an area where interns & Camp Directors can rally quickly and check to make sure they're on track with the daily goals.

Ask your Music Director, Camp Director, or Studio Manager where this will be posted at your specific location. You can always refer to it here on this website as needed.

Try to make sure campers don't see it or mess with it after it's printed. Even though it's just a piece of paper, it's not a camper's business to see how you & your team stay organized. All that should matter to them is that YOU know what you're doing! The rest is "magic."

If they really want to know how we do things... they should join School Of Rock so they can become interns themselves! :)

Timeline #2: Daily Schedules

In the next sections/pages, you will be taken through each individual day.

IMPORTANT: EACH DAY HAS A SPECIFIC SET OF GOALS & MISSIONS TO ACHIEVE

This is serious business. If you or your Camp Director fall too far behind the goals, then you are not setting your campers up for success. If you are fighting over what to do when, or you are having extremely difficult campers, then you need to talk to your Music Director along with your Camp Director present at the end of that day (if you feel it is that serious).

If you notice that things are off track follow this protocol first:

Let your Camp Director know that you feel like things may be getting behind
Ask your Camp Director if they may have changed the plan and what the new plan is
If your intern co-workers are distracting or "lazy" then kindly encourage them to not get behind, as it will stress out everyone later
If certain goals are not being met, then use break/lunch times to strategize with your team and get back on track
Plans will ALWAYS get off track at some point, so double check to make sure there's still time left in the week. It's ok if everything isn't always by the minute, so long as it the whole team catches up later before the performance on Friday
If you really feel like no one listens to you during the camp day, then wait until the afternoon debrief/powwow or the morning strategy meeting
