Answer: The mountain have a very cold climate. Most of the mountains remain covered with snow. In the plains, summers are hot and winters are cold.

Answer: A plain is a flat and level land, whereas a plateau is a high land with steep sides and a flat top. Plains have green and fertile land, while plateaus have hard and rocky land.

Answer: The southern part of India is called a peninsula because it is surrounded by water bodies on three sides.

Question 4: Why are there very few trees in desert?

Answer: Deserts receive very little rainfall. That is why there are very few trees in desert.

Answer: Goa lies in the coastal area. Therefore, the climate of Goa is neither very hot nor very cold. Winters, therefore, are pleasant in Goa.
