The Goldman Fristoe test of articulation is used to gage articulation abilities. The GFTA-3 can help assess speech sound disorder and aid in the planning of appropriate treatment.
The Sounds-in-Sentences subtest helps the examiner evaluate the client’s intelligibility in connected speech.

There are no basals and ceilings for this assessment. The clinician will start on item 1 and administer all items.
Repetitions are allowed and the clinician may model the target word if needed.
Allow the individual to have breaks if needed
Sounds-in-Words average of 12 minutes.
Sounds-in-Sentences average of 4 minutes.
