Andrej is Associate Professor in Education at the University of Trnava, who draws on his philosophical studies and academically focuses on the philosophical-educational and moral-educational areas of research and teaching. He is the guarantor of the „ethical education“ teaching program and the coordinator of a series of research projects aimed at analyzing the relationship between prosociality and morality and at the conceptual and practical deepening of the educational model "ethical education" (2013-2015, 2016-2018, 2019-2022). His own interest is the philosophical-educational study of the possible intermingling of virtue ethics with the philosophy of dialogue. He is the author of the monograph Osoba ako ikona tajomstva. Príspevok k personalistickej antropológii [Person as an Icon of Mystery. A Contribution to Personalist Anthropology] (2007), Nihilistický kontext kultivácie mladého človeka. Filozoficko-etický pohľad [The Nihilistic Context of Young Person Cultivation. Philosophical-ethical perspective] (2009), together with Blanka Kudláčová edited the extensive book publications Európske pedagogické myslenie (od moderny k postmoderne po súčasnosť) [European pedagogical thinking (from modern to postmodern to present) ] (2012) and Education and "Pädagogik". Philosophical and Historical Reflections (in English, 2019). He co-edited two books with Ivan Podmanický: Prosociálnosť a etická výchova. Skúsenosti a perspektívy [Prosociality and ethical education. Experiences and Perspectives] (2014) and Človek človeku. K prameňom etickej výchovy [Man to Man. To the sources of ethical education] (2016) and two books with Marek Wiesenganger: Pomoc druhému na ceste cnosti. K filozoficko-etickým aspektom prosociálnosti [Helping others on the path of virtue. To the philosophical-ethical aspects of prosociality] (2018) and Relationality in Education of Morality (in English, 2021). In 2021, his university textbook Filozofia výchovy [Philosophy of Education was also published]. He is the vice-chairman of the FILIA –Association for Ethical Education and Character.
