Prof. Grządziel works at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome, at the Department of General Didactics. He was born in Poland, studied philosophy in Krakow, graduated in theology in Benediktbeuern, Germany, and completed his doctorate in pedagogy at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome. From 1999, he worked as a school director in Tarnowskie Gory (Poland). From 2007 teaches general pedagogy and general didactics at UPS. His research and publications are devoted to character education, didactics, pedagogical ethics, curriculum theory and, in recent years, the integration of digital technologies into teaching and education. He is the director of the Istituto di Metodologia didattica and the coordinator of the study program of school pedagogy and vocational education. In 2021, he was appointed as an "expert" in the Holy See Agency for the Evaluation and Support of the Quality of Church Universities and Faculties (AVEPRO). At the symposium, he will follow up on his monograph Educare il carattere. Per una pratica educativa teoricamente fondata (Educate character. Towards theoretically based educational practice, 2014).
