Jasmina Popovska is an associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje (Macedonia). Popovska deals with Ancient Greek and Medieval philosophy (Latin and Byzantine) in the context of contemporary receptions and interpretations. She completed a professional faculty fellowship at Florida State University, was the general secretary of the Philosophical Society of Macedonia, editor of Filozofija/Filozofija – A Journal of Philosophical Inquiry and co-founder and organizer of the Philosophical Film Festival. In the last period, she focuses on the virtue of phronesis in the philosophy of Ancient and Byzantine authors, in the context of personality formation. She will also present this topic - in connection with teacher training - at our symposium.
