Skyridge Unified Sports is an officially-sanctioned UHSAA activity in partnership with Special Olympics Utah. Students with and without disabilities compete against Unified teams from other Utah schools in a variety of sports as official representatives of Skyridge High School. All participating athletes and unified partners must return the permission slips, registration forms, and medical/physical forms (signed by a doctor).

2022-23 Highlights

UNIFIED PE AT SKYRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL

In partnership with our Physical Education Department and Adapted Physical Education Teachers, Skyridge High School provides students of all abilities with the opportunity to learn and compete alongside one another through Unified Athletics. The class curriculum focuses on fitness, recreational, and individual and team sport skills, with the aim of increasing health, fitness, community access, and inclusion for all involved. Students can join Skyridge Unified teams that include both unified athletes and unified partners (peers), thus creating an environment where all students can learn and grow together. Many long-lasting friendships and memories have been formed and made as a result of these opportunities. Unified sports allows us to encourage a welcome culture and environment where everyone is accepted for who they are.
