An agency to assist parents or caregivers of students with disabilities with everything from understanding an IEP to how to access post-high school services or obtain guardianship. They also provide free consultation and training for parents and caregivers, and have an extensive directory of services available to parents and their students. Nearly all services are free of charge. http://www.utahparentcenter.org/. In addition, they provide a Disability Resource Directory, that lists dozens of agencies in Utah that provide services to people with disabilities and their families. That directory can be found here.

Guardianship Associates of Utah can help guide parents through the process of extending guardianship of their students beyond the age of 18. They also teach classes that enable parents to represent themselves during the guardianship process, cutting down on some of the legal fees involved.
