LIFE SKILLS
welcome to mr. Figueira's & Mrs. Gifford's Life Skills classes!
The resources below will help students develop important life skills, as well as address and make progress on their IEP Goals.
1. Canvas:
Mr. Figueira & Mrs. Gifford will post some Life Skills assignments on Canvas in their B7 Life Skills Canvas Course (23/24-S1-Life Skills-Figueira or 23/24-S1-Life Skills-Gifford, depending on which teacher's course you are enrolled in). Additionally, students will also be submitting some assignments through these same Canvas courses.
Some "how-to" instructional videos for some IEP goals are available through the IEP Goals Sandbox course on Canvas, and students can view them anytime they have access to a device. Students will need to accept an email invitation to join the course. To access Canvas, use the following steps:
Make sure you are logged in to your school email account.
Open the Google Apps menu in the top right corner of your email. The menu looks like a small square made up of 9 small dots.
Scroll down until you find Canvas.
Once in Canvas, click on "Courses" on the left hand sidebar menu. A list of courses will appear.
Click on the class you want to access (IEP Goals Sandbox, B7 Life Skills, etc.).
SCIENCE
We will be teaching science throughout the year as well, typically during the Life Skills class. Watch for more science content and resources to become available!
