At Skyridge High School, students have the ability to letter in Unified Athletics, similar to tho who letter in other sports or disciplines. Any student participating in the Life Skills program may letter in Unified Athletics by completing the following requirements:
At Skyridge High School, students have the ability to letter in Unified Athletics, similar to tho who letter in other sports or disciplines. Any student participating in the Life Skills program may letter in Unified Athletics by completing the following requirements:
- Participation in 6 community/district events or tournaments (Special Olympics, ABC Basketball, JFK Volleyball etc…)
- Regular attendance in Unified P.E., or Physical Education classes (80%+)
- Improvement in 3 areas or goals in Unified P.E. or Physical Education.
- Participation in the fitnessgram test.
Students who meet these requirements will be awarded with the Skyridge High School Letter in Unified Athletics, and may purchase a letterman sweater or jacket if they so choose. We will also make efforts to recognize these individuals at school-wide events, such as an assembly or the Senior Awards Night.
