Cram Sessions Hosted By RRHS SO for SHMS SO
Get online and work on your event! RRHS SO members will be on the same Google Meet call to answer any questions you may have; provide resources; and provide, time, and grade practice tests. Please fill out the interest form linked so that you can be invited to the meetings.
Session 1 will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday (TODAY!) if we get enough interest.
Session 2 will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday
A session will also be held from 12-2pm on Thursday if LCPS closes due to the snow.

Hello! I'm launching a new mentorship program to connect middle schoolers to high schoolers in Science Olympiad. Being linked to a high schooler on the Science Olympiad team can allow you to have an insight into Division C Science Olympiad, build connections with the high school team, and most importantly, you can have personalized help in your event. The high schooler you are linked with will be your mentor, and you will be able to meet with them virtually or in person and discuss any questions about your event. They can also guide you through finding resources or understanding specific topics.

Stone Hill is currently registered for the Centreville HS regional on February 15th. You have less than 3 months left before regionals, please use your time wisely! Team numbers have not been decided yet, however those need to go on any logs you may have for builds (such as flight logs for helicopter).
Please look at the rule clarifications! There are rule clarifications currently for Helicopter, Dynamic Planet, and Scrambler, but it is still important to monitor the rule clarifications in case one for your event comes up.

VASO has officially announced events for the 2024-2025 season. It has all of the events on the national event slate, but some are not going to be held at most regionals. All events will be held at states and the UMW regionals (National-Ready Regional).
This website has been fully updated and now contains resources for every event. The final piece now is the rules, which will be put on this website in a timely manner after they release on September 3rd.

The 2024-2025 event slate has been announced! This website is now being updated. It will be different, less text and more links, but hopefully that is better as it provides more resources. It also makes the work more manageable to create the website (so that it can actually have information, unlike last season). Another announcement will be posted when all the resources have been added. The rules will be added after they are released on September 3rd.

The regionals at UMW on February 17th was unfortunately postponed, but you will be competing against the same teams on March 2nd at Lake Braddock SS. Information regarding this tournament is on the VASO website at the link to the right. The tournament schedule is linked as well. Lake Braddock SS is 40-50 minutes away depending on where you live, so make sure to start from your house at an appropriate time. Mr. Hein and Mrs. Killam will release more detailed tournament info through your emails, so make sure to look at that.

Watch the Rules Clarifications pages on both soinc.org and virginiaso.org. You may be doing unnecessary things, or not doing enough. So far, events that have had rules clarifications for Division B are listed below:

Although some of the VASO clarifications are repeats of the SOINC ones or are just as simple as "this event will not be held at regional tournaments," there are some important clarifications on these events, so you must check them out.
