This event is very similar to Flight, except teams must build their aircraft on site using a kit. These kits will be provided at States and Nationals, but the teams must bring their own at Invitationals and Regionals. No extra materials can be added to the kit, and the kit must be assembled without adhesives. The mass of the aircraft without the motor must be above 10 grams, and it cannot be over 25 grams. Teams can bring up to 4 rubber motors that weigh up to 2 grams. After assembling the aircraft, teams may attempt up to 2 official flights for scoring. Teams can bring a clear-sided container no larger than 12" x 12" that contains winders, assembly tools, fixtures that are freestanding from the airplanes, sandpaper, adhesive systems, thread, pins, tape, O-rings, clay, and a logbook. In addition to the box, teams must bring wax paper and cutting boards to cover all work surfaces, and teams not using cutting boards will face a penalty. Another thing that teams must bring that doesn't have to fit in the box is a first-aid kit that contains at least 3 adhesive band-aids.
