ROSTERS 

The number of competitive entries by a school in each gender and  age category should be limited to 10. Any extra entries above 11+ should be entered as ‘exhibition’ runners. The scoring team shall comprise of the first four runners in each gender age category 


AGE CATEGORIES 

Age categories will follow SGIS Handbook policy

SPECIAL RULES 

Spiked shoes may be worn if the surface allows.

Host school should plan and share the course map in advance.


SAFETY

Responsibility of the host school to ensure adequate marshalling is in place, especially at points of change in course/roads, including clear signage. 

A course walk/run through should be made available for all runners as an option pre-race. 

A reasonable time should be left between the end of the walk/run through to ensure adequate recovery time before the age races. 

Use of audio devices such as headphones and earphones should not be allowed, to keep awareness around the course (road crossing, instructions).


RESULTS 

4 runners contribute to a team trophy. Ties in team scoring will be resolved in favor of the team whose fourth runner finishes nearer to first place. 

For team results, the lowest score wins.
