Competition Preparation Checklist

COMPETITION PREPARATION CHECKLIST 

Invitation: 6 weeks prior 

Hosting schools should send invitations and information about SGIS competitions, including accommodation and transport guidelines, to all SGIS member schools at least six school weeks prior to the competition date. 

Deadline: 4 Weeks prior 

1. Highly recommended to send out a reminder email to all schools reminding them of the deadline. 

2. Send a rough draft with a start time and end time to the schools who have registered. 3. Remind the schools to send in their rosters 3 days prior to the competition. The roster form can be found on the SGIS website. 

4. Remind the Coaches/Athletic Directors if the roster has not been received 3 days before the competition. 

Schedule: 2 Weeks prior

Medals 

Food 

First Aid 

Facility rental (if applicable) 

Extra cleaning (if applicable) 

Transportation (if applicable) 

Results: sent to participating schools at the conclusion of the Competition 

Invoices: sent out within 3-5 weeks after the competition
