Survey Analysis:
Most of the people who answered our survey were female. They got 52 responses which made up 65.8% of the total responses. 27 people were male which made up 34.2% of the total responses.
There were many age groups we got to fill out our survey. The age that mostly filled the survey was 10 years old with 9 responses. The next most responses was 12 years old with 8 responses. Our survey's age ranged from 9 to 76 years old. We collected a lot of data from these various age groups.
17 people out of the total people that filled our survey uses social media 5 or more than 5 hours a day with 21.5% of our total responses. We can confirm that these people are addicted to social media as watching 5 or more hours a day is considered addictive. Most of the people responded 2 hours in a day which were 24.1% of our total responses. Many people also responded 3 hours a day with 22.8% of our total responses.
The most used social media applications in our survey are YouTube and Whatsapp both with 55 responses and 69.6% of the total responses. The next most used social media application is Instagram with 39 responses and 49.4% of the total responses.
Most of the people that filled out our survey responded that social media is both good and bad with 77.2% of the total responses which were 61 of the total 79 people who filled out our survey. 16.5% of the total responses responded that social media is good for you which were 13 people. 3 people responded no and 2 people responded maybe.
The majority of people think they are not addicted to social media, which is 43%. But, in the previous question, since 5 hours or more than 5 hours usage of social media is considered addicted, 21.5% of people are addicted among 79 people. But, only 20% of people said they know that they are addicted to social media. That means, 1% of people don't know that they are addicted to social media.
In this question, most of the people mentioned that social media is impacting their life in a positive and negative way.
As you can see many people know the basic information on how to prevent social media. They mostly suggested to do physical activities and spending time with others.
