Our first two weeks into the PYP exhibition were amazing. We started off as a group of 5 - Me, Fadil, Maya, Betty, and Aaron. Once our group was confirmed, we wrote down our essential agreements and agreed on them. Once we were done that, we listed down our top 5 media issues. We researched each of the issues and then came up with our top 2 issues. Our top 2 issues were really good, and it was hard to decide which one was the best. From our top 2 issues, we decided that social media addiction is the best media issue for our group. Throughout these two weeks, we had 3 guest speakers. Our first guest speaker was Ms. Maria, who taught about how to cite our sources. Our second guest speakers were the grade 6 students. They talked to us about how the PYP exhibition is going to be like. We learnt about the things we will have to do, the challenges we faced, and how to overcome them. Our third guest speaker was Ms. Richel. She taught us about how to create a central idea. She gave us tips on what to add and what not to add in a central idea. This gave me a clearer understanding about creating central ideas, and will help our group in creating it. Overall, our first two weeks went great and we learnt many new things.

For the first two weeks, we had to make our group. I was in a group with Betty, Riyom, Fadil, and Aaron. For the first step of the PYPX, we have to make our essential agreements. It was pretty easy since we had lots of ideas. We had a guest speaker to talk about how to research and cite our sources. We also had some of the students from Grade 6 to talk about their experience of the PYPX. Soon, we had to choose our top 5. We researched all of the topics to see if it is good or not. Later, we finally decided our top 5. The next step is to find top 2. It was super hard deciding which topic is the best. We all carefully researched all of our top 5. After some time we researched, we finally choose our top 2. The last step is to choose top 1. We researched some more so we have a good amount of information. It was really hard, so we had to find the pros & cons. Once we find the information and the pros & cons for each topic, we decided that we should do social media addiction.
Fadil
The first two weeks were okay at best. We arranged a meeting and had decided our top 5 issues. I was able to interact with my groupmates and talk about the issues best suited for our group. It was great. Then we chose our top 2. We had agreed about many different topics and went back and forth sometimes. After discussing with my groupmates we were able to get a new top 2. After 2 days of researching about the topics, we decided social media addiction is best suited for our group. We had a few guest speakers coming by. The first guest speaker we had was Ms. Maria, who told us how to cite our sources. The second guest speaker(s) we had were some of the 6th grade students. They talked about how the exhibition will go in a comedic and entertaining way. Our third guest speaker was Ms. Richel. She had talked about how to make a central idea, what to add in a central idea, and what to avoid when making a central idea. The first two weeks were busy weeks but a fun ones at the very least.
Betty
The first two weeks were great. My group is Riyom, Maya, Fadil, and Aaron. After that, we wrote our essential agreements. There were a lot of ideas, and opinions that had been agreed upon by our group. Next, we discussed what issue we should focus on, and we picked social media issues. And then, we shared our ideas for the top 5 issues. We researched hard on them, so we can find the perfect top 2 issues. We were satisfied with the top 2 issues that we had chosen. A lot of guest speakers came to grade 5 and did some presentations. First, Ms. Maria explained how to cite resources using 'cite fast'. Next, grade 6 students did a presentation about PYPX. It was entertaining and I learned many things during the presentation. Lastly, Ms. Richel told us about how to make a central idea. She told us about what to add and what not to add. It really helped me to understand what is the central idea and how to make it. Overall, the first two weeks went really well, the collaboration between my groupmates was really great!

For the first two weeks I think it was a very fun week, I think I have a great group and I love the fact we could work hard together. I think I had a very fun week with my group, I enjoy doing work with this group. I like this group because it's full of very positive people. I think I'm very lucky to be in this group, I liked the guest speakers and enjoyed discussing our top issues. I felt like it was a fun thing to talk with my group, I feel like this group is a pretty good group because we are all positive and hard-working. I saw all the guest speakers and heard them, I saw Ms. Maria, Ms. Richel, and a group of 6th graders. I learned about central ideas from Ms. Richel and what you expect for PYPX by the group of 6th graders, I also learned a bit about plagiarism.
