Weeks 3-4

Reflections

Riyom

We did a lot of progress in the weeks 3-4. These weeks were really fun and I'm proud of myself and my group. The main thing that happened in these weeks were finalizing our group name - Screen Struck. Screen Struck means being obsessed with watching screens, which means social media addiction. It took us some time to think of the name, but finally we thought that Screen Struck was a great choice. In these weeks, we have also started to create logo for our group. We did not finalize our logo yet, but we have got great ideas for it. I am also happy because there are great artists in our group, and they are really contributing and putting their best effort in creating our logo. Throughout weeks 3-4, Ms. Richel gave two sessions to us about taking action and creating a human library. We learnt about the different ways to take action, and what a human library is and how to use it. Weeks 3-4 went really great and we have learnt many new things as a group.

Maya

Weeks 3-4 were amazing. Mr. James said we need to make our group name. It took a while to make our group name. We wrote down all of our ideas in a word document. After our discussion, we decided to do Screen Struck. Struck means obsession. And we thought it sounds good. The next step is to make our group logo. We haven't decide yet, but we all drew our ideas. We all thought that we should make a phone, with bubble chats and different types of apps that people are addicted to. Then, we put our group name on the phone. Once we drew our ideas, Riyom decided to do Betty's logo idea. He said we can make it look a bit better, but overall it looks amazing. And I pretty much agree. Week 3-4 we had a guest speaker and it was Ms. Richel. She talked about action. A few days later, Ms. Richel came again. This time the topic was different. She talked about a human library. I felt really happy this week. Our group worked really hard to make the group name and logo. The challenging parts of this week, is that we need to make the logo & group name.

Fadil

Weeks 3-4 were relatively fun. I was amazed by most of the new information given to me. I had found out many new things such as the human library and action because we had 2 sessions with Ms. Richel to talk about that specific topic. In the 3rd week we made our about us. We had to get a good picture for the about us and we also had to add some information about ourselves. It was hard for me to get a good picture of myself but I was able to find a great picture to add to the blog. Then we had our guest speakers. We had Ms. Richel as our guest speaker for weeks 3-4. In those sessions, we learned about action and what we will do to take action. The next session with Ms. Richel, we learned about the human library. A human library is basically learning from others. These include their hobbies, passion, and interests. But before that, we thought of our group name. After a short meeting with the others to get a name, we all agreed that screen struck will be our final name. We now need a group logo and we are still thinking of what our group logo will be like. In the end, I was happy with how this week went. I really enjoyed the sessions and they were also very informative.

Betty

Weeks 3 and 4 went great. Since our group is finished with the basic step, we started the step 2. The first thing we did is we made our group name. We brainstormed on what should be the short but impactive name. We made more than 8 options, but we finalized our group name, 'Screen struck'. It means obsession to screens, which basically means media addiction. We thought that it really suits the group and simple name for our group. Next, we discussed on how should we design the logo. Many of us had a similar ideas, which is famous social media apps coming out from the phone. It must be hand drawn, so I decided to draw in my iPad. It turned out well, but there were parts that should be edited. However, I think my group was happy with the logo I drew! A few days later, Ms. Richel talked about human library. It was interesting and entertaining to listen and take notes. Overall, weeks 2 and 3 were great, we collaborated well, and worked hard.

Aaron

I think these 2 weeks were amazing, we had contributed a lot during this week, during this week we made a group logo and name. I think this name is very nice, we haven't confirmed a real group logo yet though. I think out group logo might be this week or next week. The unfinished logo concept is a phone with social media pictures, the concept isn't complete though. It might be complete soon or later. I think our logo is already coming out good, I think the concept is just decent but its still a great logo. We talked about human library with Ms. Richel. I think I feel like these 2 weeks were good weeks.
