Week 14

Reflections

Riyom

Week 14 was good. We went to Maya's house and created more marshmallow pops and s'mores. We added two new flavors to the marshmallow pops - caramel and plain. I thought that the caramel marshmallow pops won't sell that well, but I was wrong. Everybody loved them and it was a big hit! We earned a lot more money and we have around 700,000 rupiah. We still want to hit a million rupiah though, so we are planning to create more marshmallow pops and s'mores to reach 1 million rupiah. We also were trying to make the blog more eye catchy and make it have a better design. Some people wanted to do one type of font and color, and some other people disagreed with that. Then, I decided that it would be best to work on our information, research, action plan, and interviews, and then in the end work on the font. We all agreed on that, and the font and colors in the blog look pretty good for now. We need to do two more interviews, and we have already booked them. I booked an interview with Dr. Lidya who is a psychiatrist and our teacher mentors helped us book an interview with Dr. Wendy who is a psychologist. Overall, this week was really good and I am looking forward to our interviews on Thursday and Friday.

Maya

This week was okay. PYPX is coming soon and we still have a lot of things to do. We worked on our presentations and edited our blog. My group members went to my house to make more products so we can earn more money. We added 2 new marshmallow pops! One was caramel marshmallow and the other one was just plain. We sold all of them in Grade 5 and it was a big hit! Some of our classmates love the caramel flavor. But there was one problem when we were working on our blog. Riyom and Fadil did not agree to change the fonts. Betty and I want to make the blog more colorful and fancy. On the other side, Riyom and Fadil wanted the blog simple and clear to see. It took so long to change the fonts. Our teacher mentors came for week 14 and they helped us set a time for an interview with Dr. Wendy on Friday, May 12. The most challenging part of this week is the blog. We have to choose the fonts, finish our action plan, and edit a lot of things! But this week was fantastic.

Betty

This week was stressful, the final presentation of PYPX is coming up fast, and we had so much work to do. We edited our blog and, worked on our presentation. While editing our blog, we had to finish some parts, so divided the work. It was not challenging finishing the blog, but it was quite a challenge changing the fonts that suit OUR style, not just the font that suits the blog, but the font that everyone agrees with. Overall, it was quite a challenge, but it turned out well. Next, we worked on our presentation to different grade levels which is part of our action. We are now done with our ppt, we just need to go to different grade levels and do a presentation. Overall, this week, we did great progress, and we just need to interview and finish our action!

Fadil

This week was okay at best. It was very uneventful since we didn't have any extra work other than the blog and presenting to all of the other grade levels. It started as a usual week. We got to work on the blog more and updated our information. We had planned to interview Dr. Lidya on May 11th. We planned to go there at 4:00 PM which is straight after school as the place we are going to is located in Serpong. We updated and checked each other's presentations for each grade level. It was a very nice experience and we were able to update each other's presentations depending on what we needed to change. We had some problems with the blog, however. We didn't like Riyoms font ideas. However, we didn't want to change the font right now. Overall, this week was rather uneventful and we didn't do much during this week. I hope week 15 will have more in store for us.

Aaron

This week didn't have much work. We will present to other grades soon and we argued over which font color and style to use. I enjoyed this week and we will finish our action sometime soon in the future. Most of this week was arguing over colors backgrounds and fonts. We had teacher mentors help us a bit and we found a perfect font after that, We already have a ton of progress and we have to just do our action plan but we have to be really quick because it's on May 14. I hope we could do our donating action plan because the due date is coming very soon and it's already closer to us. I feel like this group is gonna be very successful and will have a great PYP exhibition because it took us a lot of effort to prepare and do the work and the actions. We have to interview a few more people but we have to be quick because the due date is soon and we only did 1 interview, We will do our 2nd interview soon on Thursday.
