Non-combative personnel who are given access to a weapon, are to only use it in acts of self-defense, only if the following conditions have been met;
A direct threat to the body or person is imminent.
A threat to a body or person has already been identified.
The weapon will not cause harm to a mass amount of people at one time.
Such as grenades and throwable weapons.
A weapon may only be used in self-defense if no combative personnel are present within the vicinity of the threat.
The following is a list of prohibited firearm use:
Using a weapon outside of the circumstances described previously in this section.
Publicly revealing, brandishing, or using a weapon without probable cause.
Pointing, threatening, brandishing, or using a weapon within the vicinity of a Security Level 4 or higher will result in immediate termination and/or further consequences.
Weapons are defined as any item that is capable of causing harm to others, including (but not limited to): rifles, shotguns, pistols, Flamethrowers, and grenades.
Tools can either be received through in-game perks, game passes, or departments. All tools and items must be used as intended and outlined in department handbooks and procedures.Â
All tools, provided by purchased perks or game passes or departments, can and will be taken away if improper usage of the item happens to occur.
The following are considered improper usage of items and tools:
Improper use of throwable tools - grenades and smoke grenades;
Improper use of handheld utilities - spamming radios, spamming lights, etc; and
Improper use of Foundation utilities/fixtures - spamming card readers, etc.
Unauthorized radio operation includes but is not limited to, irrelevant transmissions, and extended or unnecessary discourse over radio channels.
Certain items and tools can be dropped at any time by personnel, with some being weapons and other player tools. As a result, the act of stealing or theft is prohibited unless defined elsewhere in Foundation Code.
Combative personnel and certain authoritative bodies may pick up and take specific items that have been dropped in order to prevent being stolen by unauthorized personnel.
Combative personnel may not use any picked up items inappropriately, such as using weapons that they are not given direct access to.
