Viel aus der Antike, Christentum, Gotik, Mittelalter, Renaissance etc.
Stadtbaugeschichte kann in Wiki nachgelesen werden..
Erst später Stahlbeton für Häuser und Bituben für Straßen.
Hier empfehle ich sehr das Videospiel "Satisfactory", Age of Empires oder ggf. "Minecraft." für den Eindruck vom Aufbau.

Civil Engineering kann, als von den physikalischen Gleichung auf die Materiellen Gleichungen (Volumen & Rho..Bausubstanz), als Denkhilfe interpretiert werden.
Hier empfehle ich sehr besonders die Bücher von Francis Ching.
Hier werden in all seinen Büchern per Handzeichnungen die gesamte Architektur und teilweise Baugeschichte repräsentiert. 40 Jahre Arbeit in der Architektur niedergeschrieben/gezeichnet in seinen Büchern!
Der Beste Einstieg, um ggf die mathematischen Zeichnungen und Berechnungen aus der Geometrie zu verstehen.
Und vielleicht ist einer dabei, der vllt aus der Historie die ein oder andere Schaltung daraus implementieren kann?
Im Grunde sehen elektronische Schaltungen, wie kleine Städte aus. :) Nur ist der der Hausbau nicht mehr teuer mit Krediten und Gewinnabsichten behaftet, sondern kann von groß in das kleine Zimmer in jedermanns Stube geholt werden. Jegliche CAD-Software stammt aus der Elektrotechnik bzw. vorerst im Schaltkreisentwurf. (u.a. Silicon Valley mit deren Halbleiterfirmen, die dann in EDA "Electronic Design Automation" übergingen.)

Notable: Die Busse werden meist mit Infrarotsendern und Receivern ausgestattet, um im Stadtverkehr meist die Grünphasen der Ampeln zu erhalten. Ich bin selbst einmal zu spät zur Arbeit im Krankenhaus gekommen, weil ein Bus 7 Minuten im Winter, Verspätung hatte. Dadurch hatte ich ausschließlich rote Ampelphasen erwischt.
Die Verspätung zog sich im Dienst fort, wodurch ein Patient vor seiner OP keine Lebensmittel & Wasser bekam.
Eine kleine Verspätung von einem/jedem Teilnehmer kann für alle anderen dynamische Konsequenzen haben. (unpredictable.)
