Still in progress...
This can be seen as the third specialization of Electric Engineering.
This includes all kinds of Power Plants until Nuclear Power Plants. (Plasma)
This is by far not my specialization.
I checked the Power Supply of the Apple II. (Switch Mode Power Supply).
Also, I have started to build my first project on a Step Up Converter (not the best + Arduino), continued to deconstruct and killed my first bought Power Supply (Switched to AC), soldered a mobile phone charger, and looked into the 'Clock' of the Sap8 555Timer (Ben Eater Project). I also looked into the inside of a piece of hospital equipment. These are all beginner projects.
Neatly said: A Stable Power supply, that sustains the Voltage or Current is necessary and Electric Maintenance, as well(Stable Current for a Laser or MRT. EMC is important.)
Now imagine the Power Supply of a Power Plant and all the Transmission Lines in between for our infrastructure.
I have referenced a brief list for Engineering for Kids, where you can look into the infrastructure.
Also, the Deutsche Museum in Munich is great.
But certainly, I have all the respect for Engineers, who tame the big currents.
It might look trivial in the formula (at first glance), but like in the smallest parts, the biggest parts are a) heavy and b) Don't joke around at failure.
The 'Deutsche Bahn' utilizes heavy weight to sensor fallen trees across the traffic road. It has its own telegraph line to communicate and also its own powerline to supply its trains with voltage (kV, while the metal is the GND)
Also are the Internet Cable of cities (public) sometimes bundled and wired across a single station near the train lines. (Cheaper instead of digging new roads and put the cable near the water supplies)
> Frei & Fair in jeglicher Hinsicht.
