Voice thread is a really useful tool for everyday use or for inside of a classroom. It is a way to place pictures together in a slideshow and either you can use your voice or text to narrate and show your project. The way I would use this is by having students create an introduction so others can see it, or I would make it as a teacher so my students could get to know me better. I also think it would be a great tool for something like a show and tell so you could see the pictures of what your students are showing, and they can use their voices to tell you about it. Think nature walk! I really like this tool. I have used it before and will definitely use it again, I think the voice over ability could create opportunities for even the younger students who may not be able to type, but still want to participate.
Sketchpad is an online tool that lets the user draw in multiple brushes, textures, or colors.
I chose this tool because it has a fun and easy way for students to explore art on a device. It was easy to use and enjoyable. I would use this Tool in a classroom to let my students explore art in their free time or if I was an art teacher. I also think if we were exploring history or a specific subject it would be a fun experiment. I would also use it to let my students have some free time in my classroom and just have fun.
Math playground is an online tool that lets any grade play math games geared towards that age. It is a fun, interactive way for kids to spend some time learning but it feels like it is all fun and games and the students enjoy it more than regular math.
