"Digital Etiquette refers to electronic standards of conduct or procedures and has to do with the process of thinking about others when using digital devices. Teachers can include Digital Etiquette as part of the classroom rules or academic goals. Whether in the classroom or online, being aware of others is an important idea for everyone."
Even online, there are manners and things that are and are not acceptable. Treat others how you want to be treated. Don't say anything that you wouldn't say in-person and also mind your social media manners. Never type when angry, you may say something that you'll regret later or spark unnecessary conflict. Respond only when you've cooled off. Don't spread rumors or post insulting comments.
I included a link to a really great source if you are trying to learn more about digital etiquette and want to help others or your students learn more too.
