Here are some holidays and days we will have fun activities on for the month of February! 

February 2: Groundhog Day

February 5: World Read Aloud Day (please see list of recommended books in students)

February 14: Valentine’s Day

February 16: Take your family to school day

February 17: Presidents’ Day

February 19: Random acts of kindness week

February 22: George Washington’s Birthday

February 25: Mardi Gras

February 26: National Tell a Fairy Tale Day (students will create and read classic fairytales! be sure to bring your favorites from home)

Homework: Students will find a book pertaining to one of these topics: Groundhogs day, valentines day, of acts of kindness. Parents are encouraged to take your child to the Jonesboro public library and assist students in finding their book. Students should be prepared to read their chosen book aloud to the rest of the class this coming Friday, the 26th as we celebrate national fairy tale day together.
