Advice from Taylor Helm and Caitlin Zellner:
~ Students have different levels of understanding, level out that knowledge.
~ Be flexible and adaptable to all that will come from the lessons and keep it all engaged.
~ Have clear driving, compelling, and big questions that will help put additional focus on the lessons.
~ Students come with their own ideas and perspectives, be open to those ideas and walk with them through it as they learn.
Final Notes: Be flexible, after all that's what teaching is. Be the expert on your state and the topics but be prepared for questions you can't answer yet. Find a way to make the lessons engaging and interesting, student attention spans are here and then gone pretty quickly. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!
