One-to-one mentorship is developed to give RTOs the dedicated help they're looking for to improve their skills and progress within the department. Every session is tailored to the trainee and designed with their needs in mind.
When you request a mentor, Road Traffic Command will review your request and assign a mentor. They will be brought up to speed on your request, and we will help them to develop a plan on how to help you achieve what you want to. Your mentorship can happen in several different ways, from a one-off in-game training session to a combination of regular sessions and catch-ups on Teamspeak, which depends on how your mentor feels you're progressing.
One-to-one mentorship is a service offered to Road Traffic Officers and is provided by volunteer mentors. We have rules that must be followed at all times.
You'll need to attend all sessions unless you tell your mentor at least 24 hours before.
Our mentors are volunteers, so any abuse directed towards them will result in immediate termination of mentorship services.
Mentors have complete discretion on how to conduct their sessions, which also includes the format.
These sessions are designed for you, so participation is expected. If your mentor feels you're not giving 100% they can issue you a warning, followed by termination of mentorship services.
Road Traffic Command has the final say on any mentorship activities.
If Road Traffic Command feels your request doesn't require sessions, you might be referred to existing formats or to other services.
