For the purpose of our Road Traffic Unit policies:
1.1 'PLPD' will represent the organisation: Paralake Police Department.
1.2 ‘RTU’ refers to the Road Traffic Unit.
1.3 ‘RTO’ refers to a Road Traffic Officer.
1.4 'Traffic Command' refers to RTOs who hold the rank of Staff Sergeant, Lieutenant or Captain as part of the RTU Command Team
1.4 ‘Reinstate’ means to rejoin the RTU division after leaving it for a short period of time.
1.5 ‘Probationary’ refers to a person who is on internal probation within RTU
1.6 ‘QCP’ refers to a Quality Control Patrol conducted by Traffic Command
1.7 ‘Blacklisted’, ‘Blacklist’ will mean an officer may not apply for/rejoin the Road Traffic Unit
1.8 'Unmarked' refers to traffic issued vehicles with no police markings.
1.9 'RTU Trainer', 'Trainer' refers to officers who hold the role of 'Road Traffic Trainer'.
1.10 'LOA' refers to a leave of absence set on the PLPD Online website
1.11 ‘Activity Strike’ is an internally logged piece of information held by Traffic Command. These are to be issued to RTTs if they fail to notify using the reactions and attend sessions that have been created using the PLPD bot on discord. These follow the typical PLPD standard of Disciplinary action detailed under section 9(f) of the Officer's handbook, unless dictated otherwise in 2.4 of the Trainer Policy and are logged during a 3 month period. That being in the following format: Informal Warning, First Formal Warning, Final Formal Warning, Demotion from RTT.
