What is our Command Structure?

The Traffic Command Team consists of two Lieutenants, each one with their own specific areas of responsibility and duties to attend to. We also employ at least two Staff Sergeants to assist our Lieutenants with their specific duties as well as carry out a broader set of command duties and manage day to day operations.

General Duties 

Traffic Command and Traffic Junior Command in its entirety will be responsible for the following areas:

• Ensuring RTU applications are marked properly and in good time

• Running practical recruitment stages

• Running campaigns

• Enacting internal disciplinary proceedings

• Conducting quality control patrols

• Maintaining RTU policies

The Training Team

Our Traffic Trainers also play a vital role in running the Road Traffic Unit. They assist the command team with:

• Help setting up events

• Attend training sessions to train new RTOs

• Marking Road Traffic Officer applications

• Monitoring probationary Road Traffic Officers

• Representing and giving presence for the Road Traffic Unit on duty

• Helping make fundamental decisions for the future of the Road Traffic Unit
