Rhaigon 101 - the new players palace
Welcome to Rhaigon!!! there is a lot of information here, so starting out can be daunting. There are a few specific areas that we suggest you read before completely diving in.
Rules and guidelines - details the rules of the game, and the etiquette around here.
Rhaigon anatomy - take a skim, this page details all about the different types of Rhaigon.
Resources - has lots of helpful links for players, like lineart, player bank, and the stat calculator.
As of current updates, Players need to join the Discord group, as a lot of the functions are moving there!
and this page of course! good to see you are in the right spot <3
These pages should give you a general idea of what is going on here. Once you are done reading up, or skimming... It's suggested that you join the discord server. This is the easiest place to talk about all things Rhaigon, as well as the easiest place to get updates and contact admins if needed.
Nuff of that technical stuff! I want to play with dragons! dont we all!! luckily new players get a Newbie import.
First, you will need to flip through the whole design dropdown on the site, there you can find all of the patterns, physical features, and other things you might want on a Rhaigon.
What is an Import?
Imports can be read about on the import page
but in short, its a Rhaigon imported to the group with no lineage.
How do I redeem my Newbie Import?
To redeem your import, note the Deviantart group with the filled out newbie form (also found on the import page). Remember, Newbie imports can have a max of 2 dilutes and 2 patterns.
Now what?
Now, the worst part, Wait! An admin will get to the note, and give you an ID number (this is for organization on the groups part) and a Genotype (this is for breeding). Any mistakes made will be politely corrected here too.
Once you have the okay, the Admin helping you, then you can move onto the design stage.
Designing your Import
All about Designing the import can be found in the design tabs as well. When you are finished, upload the design to the imports folder in the deviant art group. Then your design will go through the design check. Here you will be told if there are any problems with your design and will be able to fix them.
Newly imported Rhaigon will need a few things in order to start participating in activities.
Reference sheet
POS
The reference sheet is a fullbody drawing of your dragon, where all of their information is stored.
The POS, or Proof of Showmanship, is two images that display your Rhaigons skills, and allows the dragon to go on into shows, and breeding.
How does breeding work?
Breeding is just an organized way of realistically making more imports and having fun with genetics. There are prerequisites that need to be completed before the process can go through and all of the information can be found on the breeding page
How do stats work?
Stats are Rhaigons replacement of art points. Stats come into play functionally in races and shows, and otherwise are for story purposes. When leveling stats, there are extra rewards you can earn like imports and starter slots!
Stats are also generational, meaning wise breeding can make the best performers. all of the information on stats can be found in the stats tab:
How do races and shows work?
Events, which include many different types of show, are generally classed into different levels of difficulty, sometimes are RNG based. Past a certain level, stats come into heavy play when deciding the outcome of competitions. Entering shows can earn you items, recognition, stat leveling points, and maybe even a place in the hall of fame.
Races- racing is the primary sport in Rhaigon, with the biggest events. all info can be found in the designated page. There are professional classes, and outlaw classes.
