Origins
The Rhaigon dragon originates from many areas of the world, alongside the cliffsides of the sea. Due to this natural habitat, the dragons are very good at fishing, climbing, and obviously, running. Speed has been the number one benefit to the Rhaigon over time, further dialing in their anatomy as lanky speedsters.
Rhaigon individuals started banding together, building communication and culture. This was the true start of the dragons we know today.
Beginnings
Rhaigon and Humanoid connection started to flourish, first it was observation, then befriending, then soon onto communication. Rhaigon are a very intelligent species, capable of complex thought, such as comprehending languages, maths, and possibly even secrets of magic.
Originally the Rhaigon and people were brought together through means of mutual benefit, transportation and trades of good and service, often Rhaigon would come to people in a more approachable anthro form. then as times progressed more, and Rhaigon became more independent, many Species came together to celebrate, Rhaigon being the center of fantastical attention.
Modern times
In modern times, Rhaigons appear in many situations, some settling down with land owners and managers for the show life, others forming feral bands hidden in concrete jungles, and others living peacefully in their original habitat. While modern lifestyle has taken the front seat, you don't see many Rhaigon being owned as pets, but rather treated as intelligent individuals.
That being said, Rhaigons have still became a cultural phenomenon, inspiring fashion, celebration, and competition. Huge events happen all over the world, reining the Rhaigon as a symbol of good fortune and luck.
Rhaigon are capable of magics, it is not uncommon to find fortune teller dragons setting up shop during celibrations, Rhaigon assimilate in society most commonly by partaking an anthro form.

Rhaigons are a refurbish of my first created species when I got into ARPGs over 8 years ago.
Once upon a time, the modern Rhaigon was called 'rouge dragons' with a scrambled egg mess of genes, types, and uses. I wanted to streamline this and share my lovely dragons with everyone! ARPGs are a thing I keep coming back too, and Ive attempted making them in the past, and they have never really stuck. I hope that changes with Rhaigon.
