3 primary toes, and a 4th pseudo-thumb digit. they are dexterous and grabby. Front feet depicted in the drawings. Back feet are very similar, but the 4th digit is less pronounced and more like a dew claw. When in movement, the feet are normally quite spread and tip toe-y allowing for very springy movement. The spread out nature of the toes allows for more grab and push off.
The inner structure is quite compact, leading to a smaller than normal nostril for such a running species of animal. Rhaigon have adapted to this with a thick mucous at the back of the mouth and start of the throat, allowing for intense mouth intake without drying out and irritating the throat.
Baby Rhaigon go through some notably important stages of development.
Rhaigon take about 3 years to reach full maturity, and reach full sexual maturity at 5.
Lets get one thing out of the way: What are those spots?? Newborn to adolescent Rhaigon have bright red dapples, or what I like to call "babypox" (they are not sick!) . When they are young they are not very equipped to protect themselves, so the babies are born with bright red spots across the hindquarters and cheeks of the Rhaigon. This is a great predator deterrent, essentially screaming danger to anything that thinks they will make a tasty snack! These spots fade out over time, and will be gone by the time the dragon is 3. Every individual is different, and babypox has been observed to fade as early as two years of age. The color also varies across dragons, but is normally brighter than the rest of the coat.
Newborn and yearling Rhaigon are soft, small, pudgy, and cat like. Generally Rhaigon are born at around 40-80lbs, which is about the size of a medium dog. Rhaigon litters are generally 1-2 pups, and rarely up to 4 pups. Due to being such a large animal born at such a small size and a short growing period, these dragons grow fast! so there is plenty of awkward disproportionate moments in the growth of Rhaigon.
There are palettes included below, which do not have to be followed but are just suggestions!
Each Rhaigon possess the ability to transform into an anthropomorphic form, going from 4 legs to 2. This transformation is seamless and magical. This is normal and common for Rhaigon!
This transformation is part of the reason Rhaigon still take up specific sports where a more feral body type is much more beneficial.
Rhaigon can have 2 refrences, one for anthro and one for feral, both can get the bonus.
Thoroughbred Rhaigon are the true speed of the species. Able to reach top speeds of 70, to sometimes pushing 100mph.
height 18-20hh
The long bodied Rhaigon is specialized as a large companion animal. Not specialized for riding other than casual rides, more so the champions of liberty and obedience classes. These variations of Rhaigon are loyal, very trainable, kind, and generally snuggly.
The height range of long bodied Rhaigon is 14hh- 17hh
Long bodied Rhagion have at least a starting Agression stat of 40.
This means when breeding Rhaigon where the goal is a long bodied variety, there is a possibility the breeding could result in a normal thoroughbred body type if the agression is below 40. They might be shorter though!
21-27hh (7-9ft at shoulder)
How to get a Brute Rhaigon
Use a Tier 5 import to import a Tier 1 Brute
Breed up to a Brute Rhaigon.
Cross breed with a Brute Rhaigon. (will not yeild brute lines, and still requires some breeding after. not as intense as breeding ground up.)
How do I breed up to a Brute?
Through selective breeding, you can breed thorughbred Rhaigon into Brute Rhaigon lines. This is a long process, but allows the player to streamline what genes they want in a Brute Rhaigon. This requires a full lineage, with over half being max height Rhaigon, and labeling the breedings as "brute attempts/Brute build". When you are breeding the last Rhaigon needed, they will be randomly rolled as a Brute percentage. (anywhere from 25-90% brute).
19-24hh (ft at shoulder)
Masters of the sky, the Aerial Rhaigon boasts large wings and a unique aerodynamic frame.
visual descriptions;
they have a dense, yet short silky smooth fur covering the majority of their body, leaving larger spaces of skin visible under the fine layer. they possess the same fat reserve at the base/back of the neck, which can tend to be more dramatic with the rest of their stature. the body is aerodynamic enough and flowing.
the face is slightly sharklike, with a larger mouth for taking in air in flight. typical examples most commonly are earless, or have smaller ear sizes than standard counterparts.
large, powerful webbed wings dawn on their backs, they have full expressive motion of them. below is a look at how the wings attach to the back. claws and extra fingers are not noticeable in the wing structure.
tails present stiffer than typical rhaigon, with denser musculature to help steer in the air. legs are theropod like, sporting the same toe distribution as standard counterparts, although a little larger. the legs themselves are more suited for extreme acrobatics, and quick liftoffs rather than just climbing and running.
while they are built for aerodynamics, due to just how powerfull their flight is, one with dense fur, large ears, cumbersome tail is not at any noticable flight disadvantage.
extremely susceptible to carrying and passing the following; harpy, seraphim, plumage, dragonborne

Rhaigon x Felian
Felians are a species by my good friend Blukaria.
Felian and Rhaigon are an officially recognized hybrid. there is more to come with these guys!
As Felian are an open to create species, with little limits on patterning and colors, and Rhaigons have a rigid genetics system, the combination is a little differently structured.
To obtain a Feligon; players must have a [rhaigon x felian] [feligon x rhaigon] [feligon x felian] pairing, and offspring will be rolled in the style of Rhaigon. MYOs might also be randomly given out via giveaways and events.
brute, long bodied, and thoroughbred Rhaigon can all be bred with Felian.
Feligon genetics will work as such ; genes of the Rhaigon parent will be rolled, as well as a new gene: "FEL". this will allow artistic interpretation of the parent Felians look/ phenotype to be carried onto the offspring. If consistent looks keep appearing in Feligon, they might get official genotypes. allowing those genes to be carried out from Feligon, into Rhaigon.
When is a Feligon a Rhaigon? When is a Feligon a Felian? Lineage wise, when there are less than 3 Feligon in a Rhaigon or Felians lineage, they can be considered NON Feligon.
Specific lineart will be issued for Feligon designs, although in art they can be depicted more accurately in references.
Feligons can optionally participate in the events, races, and stat point leveling just like Rhaigons can, although they can also be used more similarly to Felians, being a completely open, non ARPG style OC.
It is STRONGLY recommended to be in both the Rhaigon and Felian discord servers, although not necessary!
Rhaigon are allowed to be hybridized with relatively any species, from media or not. These are moreso for fun and arent "official" hybridizations.
Hybrids that have ONE rhaigon parent can still be registered as an official rhaigon, but once they are twice removed they become simple hybrids. This helps keep the official rhaigon genetic pool cohesive.
Hybrids bred with other rhaigon have a chance to pass "HYB" gene, allowing some of the traits of the hybrid to pass down to a rhaigon.
Hybrids should list what other species they have hybridized with in their genetic history.
Rhaigon have a varied diet, consisting of meats, followed by fruits, then some vegetation.
Rhaigon need to be fed dependent on how active they are being. All Rhaigon need to have around 6-10% of their weight in meals every day, to maintain a healthy physique. Rhaigon partaking in more exercise/work can be bumped to a higher % diet ratio, depending on how they hold weight.
Variety is the key to continued health in the Rhaigons diet.
Rhaigon should have a mostly raw meat diet, and absolutely favor costal fish.
some good options for Rhaigon:
fish
bison, venison / high lean meats
turkey
chicken
beef
Fruits are another important section of the Rhaigons diet, providing lots of hydration and sugars for them.
natural coastal fruits, sea grapes, beach plums, seaberries etc
melons
berries
so many more.
Rhaigon might graze on high salt content greens, as they would naturally be eating cactus and washed up seaweed from the coast, consuming grains from the dune grasses.
There is not much Rhaigon cant eat, although they seem to have bad reactions to foods like pineapple, but will absolutely down a lemon, so it doesnt seem to be the acidity.
There are plenty of commercial pellet type foods available for the dragon, which are fine to feed especially when using supplements, and added fresh ingredients.
Rhaigon of course LOVE treats. possibly the number one treat for them is high value meats, liver, heart, and SUSHI! many treats are available to purchase for them as well.
Tack for Rhaigon is highly specified to their bone structure, as they are very capable of carrying weight, saddles are designed to distribute weight evenly across the rib, back, shoulder, and neck providing maximum movement, breathability and comfort for the dragon.
Halters, due to the nature of the Rhaigons face are a little impractical, many styles of halter exist that keep the face of the dragons comfortable.
Preferably/ most commonly, collars positioned near the top portion of the neck are used to replace a traditional halter.
bridle set ups for Rhaigon typically have a dense soft material for a bit, as the mouth of the Rhaigon is very sensitive
a decorative face sheld, halter diverts pressure to the back top of the head.
the traditional and commonly used, leather collar. space for mane for comfort.
braided leather bit, decorative face shield.
