Official Hybrids

Hybrids are labeled official when the species being hybridized into are other individuals species.

For species that do not have genetics systems:

hybrids will have a distinctive gene- HYBRo (hybrid official)
this gene indicates that parts of the design come from non Rhaigon species, and it can be passed down to offspring with other Rhaigon, offspring will take on characteristics of the parent with the hybrid gene. if there are enough generations carried with hybrid genes, they might get added into Rhaigon as an official gene.

(so in theory. yes you can selectively breed new genes into Rhaigon)

For species that do have genetics systems:

Hybrids with other species that do have genetics systems is dependent on the collaborating systems.

Unofficial Hybrids

Unnofficial hybrids are Rhaigon X any unaprooved, fan content, etc.

These Rhaigon MUST be approved before making, and hybrids with most animals will be denied to keep the whole species together.

please think about recreating characters/ fan species (like creatures from movies, games, or other media) with the existing Rhaigon genetics rather than defaulting on unofficial hybrids. these hybrids are not meant to be typical!

unofficial hybrids will have the gene- HYBRu

this is specifically to explain atypical genes in the Rhaigon genetics, offspring can rarely inherit these genes.

History

The Feligon

Yin - Yang

Sometime in the distant history, on Rhaigons world, The Felian established a portal from their home realm, the hive.

The first meeting

A curious Rhaigon traveler stumbles across the portal. they have traveled the land in search of new and strange phenomenon, searching the Ley lines for magical occurrences. The portal billows with swirling matter, fraying the edges of time. The Rhaigon turns to their partner, and they leap through.

Beyond the portal. a dark cave, a cool draft, the light illuminating off of giant crystals. its entirely silent, sounds of arcing electricity whisper from down the long cave corridor. Then there were the eyes. One pair, then a second, another... Curious beings come forward to the portal, creeping from the dark corners of the cave. Tension is high, are these smaller cave dwellers dangerous? Do we come off as a threat?

Both curious species, inch closer to eachother. step by step until they are face to face. The tension is lowered, and finally, their meeting was official. Rhaigon and Felian gain their first alliance.

For centuries the Felians portal into the Rhaigons world has been maintained, Rhaigon built a common ground around it, Felian managed the upkeep on the hive side, The portal is a beacon of cultural meshing. Felian allow Rhaigon to travel through their portal to other realms, And Rhaigon allow Felian freely within their society.

current references are for a hybrid with the standard/ thoroughbred Rhaigon, although the same detail "mixing" remains with other types of Rhaigon and felian!
