Movie day

For our first action plan, we showcased the movie, "He named me Malala". The movie "He Named Me Malala" is connected to print media because the movie is based on Malala Yousafzai's autobiography, "I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban". In addition, Malala wrote a book and ran a blog for the BBC about the Taliban's ruling in her hometown. By the end of the movie day, we raised around Rp. 910,000. With the money, we bought books and magazines, newspapers for our school, Binus Simprug School. The movie is a documentary about the famous Malala Yousafzai. Pakistani teen, Malala Yousafzai, becomes the youngest-ever nobel prize winner after the taliban attempts to kill her for speaking out about girl's education.

With the money we earned, we bought 9 National Geographic magazines and 1 Readers digest. We gave these magazines to grades 1 to 4. When we gave it to Mr. Phillip (Grade 4 level head), he said "It's been 20 years since I've seen Readers Digest".
